My visit to Iskcon
I have have had a long association with Iskcon, it dates back to my first year of graduation. It was the best surprise that Bangalore had in store for me. It was a place, I frequently visited, I made friends, spent time, offered my services and practiced spirituality.
what really caught my attention was the hill on which it is located. It is surrounded by a beautiful garden which is impeccably maintained and the place is very quiet and serene. I was surprise that how could a place like this exist in the middle of the city. Here are the pictures of the garden.

After walking for about 15 minutes through the garden, you reach Iskcon, where the temple bell welcomes at the main gate.

It has a very interesting architecture, with some of the best facilities within. Now Iskcon has never been just a temple, its was always a hub for different spiritual activities. It's equipped with the latest technology available and all brought into the service of Krishna. They have many programs being conducted within the temple premises. I attended laser light show, which was a narration of the Bhagvad Gita.
HARE KRISHNA, HARE KRISHNA. KRISHNA KRISHNA, HARE HARE.
HARE RAMA, HARE RAMA. RAMA RAMA, HARE HARE.
After having come to Delhi, if there is one major thing that I missed was my life at Iskcon. But yesterday, even that got fulfilled. I decided to go to Iskcon, Delhi. I did hear about it from some of my friends earlier but it never occurred to me, that it could be the same experience here again. After my classes, I took the metro to Nehru Place and VoilĂ ....there it was.

Lodhi Garden
It was after my French class, me and two of my friends, Anurag and Apoorv decided to go to Lodhi Graden, which is very near to our institute for some photography. We hanged around with our camera and clicked some pictures. I would like to share them here.
This is one of the domes in the garden. However, what fascinated me was its architecture. My friend Apoorv being a history student, explained me the significance of arcs in the Mughal architecture. I couldn't help but appreciate its detailing and the science behind it. Below are few pictures of some great work done by the then architectects.
The one in the above is a picture of a ceiling, though it hasn't been maintained well, you can still tell how magnificent it must have been in its time. I wonder how they managed doing so much of detailing during those times.
Its the pigeon that drew my friend Anurag's attention and I couldn't decide on which one looked better. So I decided on posting both.
