Lodhi Garden

It was after my French class, me and two of my friends, Anurag and Apoorv decided to go to Lodhi Graden, which is very near to our institute for some photography. We hanged around with our camera and clicked some pictures. I would like to share them here.

This is one of the domes in the garden. However, what fascinated me was its architecture. My friend Apoorv being a history student, explained me the significance of arcs in the Mughal architecture. I couldn't help but appreciate its detailing and the science behind it. Below are few pictures of some great work done by the then architectects.

The one in the above is a picture of a ceiling, though it hasn't been maintained well, you can still tell how magnificent it must have been in its time. I wonder how they managed doing so much of detailing during those times.

Its the pigeon that drew my friend Anurag's attention and I couldn't decide on which one looked better. So I decided on posting both.
